Ironwood Institute was delighted to participate in the inaugural Agricultural, Animal and Vet Sciences – Career Expo, at Urrbrae Agricultural High School. Urrbrae and Food and Fibre Education SA collaborated to deliver this event to promote the many and diverse careers which are available in the agricultural, animal sciences and horticultural sector to an audience of 400 students. Over 40 different providers showcased the diversity of tertiary and trade careers and job opportunities available in South Australia.
The evening commenced with a careers panel, with speakers talking about global food security, ag technology and innovation. This event is the first of what is hoped to be an annual event, benefit students by profiling careers, and building ongoing relationships between schools and Universities, Government agencies and industry.
