Every night, around 6,000 people in SA are experiencing homelessness or sleeping rough. High costs of living, rising unemployment and mental illness are some of the factors that have traditionally placed people at risk. And now, with the impacts of COVID-19, we are bracing ourselves for a new wave of people who have never needed our assistance before.
On 17 June 2021, leaders in business, community, and government will sleep without shelter on one of the longest nights of the year to help change the lives of Australians experiencing homelessness. In 2020, $5.7 million dollars was raised to help break the cycle of homelessness and poverty in Australia. Ironwood’s CEO, Navtej Bal, will be participating in this year’s event which is being held at Lot Fourteen. Click the button below to donate.
