Meet the Horticulture team at Ironwood

Stephanie, Annette, and Noel bring a love for plants to life for their students.  Stephanie guides the international Certificate III in Horticulture students, Annette inspires our domestic students in Certificate III in Horticulture and Noel passes his expertise on to our Diploma of Horticulture students.

 

Stephanie Haiste

Stephanie brings to our class her great skill set and a passion for horticulture.  She has international experience as a Scholar / Curatorship Intern from Jerusalem Botanical Gardens and a volunteer for the Mediterranean Garden Society garden in Greece.  Having worked previously in a production nursery specialising in Australian native plants, Stephanie can impart her expertise to our students giving them the required skills to enter the industry.

 

Annette Burmeister

Horticulture Educator

Annette comes to Ironwood with a background in horticulture and landscape design.  She has worked all over Australia, from bush regeneration in the outback through to the tropical areas of Queensland.  Working with nurseries, food production, and native plants, Annette gives our students access to her vast experience and depth of knowledge in the horticulture industry.

 

Noel Johnston

Horticulture Educator

Noel is the educator for the Diploma of Horticulture course. Hailing from the Riverland, Noel has been teaching horticulture for over a decade with specialist skills in irrigation.  In addition, he has extensive experience working in the industry in improving water use and efficiency.
