Ironwood On the Road with NGISA โ€“ Celebrating Industry, Learning & Student Success!

Ironwood Institute was proud to participate in the recent NGISA Southern Region Members Bus Tour โ€” a vibrant two-day journey showcasing some of South Australiaโ€™s most innovative and inspiring green industry sites.

Organised by the Nursery & Garden Industry South Australia (NGISA), the tour connected nursery owners, horticulture professionals, and training providers across the region, strengthening ties between education and industry.

๐ŸŒฑ Tour Highlights

The tour included visits to:

  • Jongโ€™s Nursery

  • Poplar Grove

  • Protea World

  • Jungle in Willunga

  • Morgan Park Garden Centre

  • and a special stop at Feather and Peck Chicken Farm

Each location offered valuable insights into the diversity and growth of South Australiaโ€™s thriving horticulture sector.

๐Ÿ’š Students in Action

We were especially proud to see our Ironwood trainees actively contributing during the tour:

๐Ÿ‘ Matte at Jongโ€™s Nursery

๐Ÿ‘ Ellie at Jungle in Willunga

๐Ÿ‘ James representing Adelaide Tree Farm

These students are fantastic examples of work-based learning in action, applying their skills in real-world environments and making meaningful contributions to their employers.
