Ironwood extends collaboration with the University of Chandigarh, India

Ironwood Institute is delighted to announce an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with Chandigarh University, India.

The MoU was signed at the Government of South Australian Department of Trade, Tourism and Investment office in Adelaide, in the presence of Mr. Peter Klar, the Director of International Education & Tourism.

The Vice-Chancellor of Chandigarh University, Prof. (Dr.) Rajinder Singh Bawa and the Joint Registrar and Deputy Director, International Relations, Prof. (Dr.) Rajan Sharma came to Adelaide on the invitation of Ironwood Institute’s CEO, Mr Navtej Bal, after his visit to their campus earlier this year.

Chandigarh University (CU) is currently home to over 30,000 students from 29 Indian States and 38 Countries. The University offers over 109 programs right from Diploma level programs up to Ph.D. programs in Engineering, Management, Hotel Management, Agriculture Sciences and Humanities. In addition, the University has joined hands with reputed corporates to offer Industry Collaborative Laboratories and exclusive programs.

The MoU’s core intent is to two-fold

a). To extend collaboration in training, education and research

b). To offer streamlined pathways to their graduates for further studies in Australia

India is South Australia’s sixth largest export partner. The Government’s vision is to enhance and deepen economic engagement with India and build a long-term mutual partnership encompassing investment, trade and business, education, sport, culture, the arts and sciences including an exchange of people, skills and ideas.

All parties welcomed the collaborations as it will offer Indian graduates an opportunity to study in Adelaide, Australia’s premier learning city.

The collaboration will develop long term co-operation in the development of skills and knowledge in the field of agribusiness and management.
