This week’s practical session took me right back to high school maths as we calibrated the chemical flow from lances and booms. Thankfully, our team worked seamlessly together to verify flow rates and solution accuracy, making the process both smooth and enjoyable.

We also reinforced the importance of safety when working with equipment and chemicals. Using Job Safety Analysis worksheets, we reviewed potential hazards and applied the Hierarchy of Control to understand how risks can be effectively managed in real-world situations.
Once again, we were fortunate to be based at the beautiful St Laurence’s Priory. Each week, it’s rewarding to see our growing skills making a real impact in such an inspiring environment.
