Horticulture, for First Nations students.

This initiative is part of the South Australian Government’s broader commitment to provide 1,500 training places over the next three years (500 places annually in 2024, 2025, and 2026). The program targets Aboriginal learners who are seeking to train, retrain, or upskill in areas of critical skills shortage. These opportunities are being delivered through non-government and community-based training organisations.

As part of this project, Ironwood Institute will work closely with First Nations communities to co-create a culturally safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment. Our approach will encourage students to deepen their understanding of the land while exploring career pathways in native food production and environmental revegetation.

Limited places are available for this Fee-Free training opportunity.
